Bereavement therapy: compassionate support through grief and loss
Bereavement can change everything. Whether your loss was expected or sudden, peaceful or traumatic, grief affects the body, mind, and sense of safety. My role is to offer a calm, steady space where you can explore your feelings at your own pace, without pressure or expectation.
Understanding bereavement and trauma-informed support
Grief is not just sadness — it can also feel like shock, numbness, difficulty concentrating, anger, guilt, or regret.
You may feel disconnected from others, anxious about the future, physically exhausted, or as though you’re “floating” or not fully present.
Intrusive memories or images are also common, especially after sudden or traumatic loss.
All of these responses are normal, and you do not need to hide them here.
Grief's many faces
Grief can show up as shock, anger, anxiety, exhaustion, or emotional overwhelm .
I offer a space where all your feelings are valid, understood, and welcomed without judgement
Trauma-informed care
Some losses carry trauma.
My approach helps you process overwhelming memories, reduce intrusive thoughts, and gently support healing alongside grief
Support for children
Children experience grief differently from adults.
I provide specialised grief support for children, helping them navigate unresolved grief in a gentle, age‑appropriate, and understanding environment.
A calm, steady space for your healing journey
Bereavement can change everything. Whether your loss was expected or sudden, peaceful or traumatic, grief affects the body, mind, and sense of safety .
My role is to offer a calm, steady space where you can explore your feelings at your own pace, without pressure or expectation.
We can work through shock, intrusive memories, or the unique pain of sudden loss or traumatic grief.
Compassionate support through grief
Grief can feel different from moment to moment—numb, overwhelmed, angry, anxious, exhausted, or completely lost. You don’t have to manage those feelings alone.
I offer a calm, steady space where your grief is welcomed exactly as it is, without pressure to “move on” or grieve in a certain way. Together, we can gently explore what this loss means for you, support your nervous system, and find small, manageable ways to live alongside your grief.
Specialised children's grief support
Children often express grief differently — through behaviour, play, or changes in mood.
I offer gentle, age‑appropriate support to help them explore emotions, develop coping strategies, and feel safe talking about their feelings.
